Livestream Technician: University Baptist Church

Reports to: Minister of Music and Outreach Directly

Supervises: Not Applicable

Status: Part-Time/Hourly

Pay: $20/hr (3-4 hours weekly on Sunday mornings)

FLSA: Non-Exempt


Job Summary

The Livestream Technician will be responsible for managing our weekly, 11:00 AM Sunday worship livestream. Under the leadership of the Minister of Music and Outreach, the Livestream Technician will be responsible for producing, evaluating, and making updates to our livestream as necessary.


Essential Functions:

● Live Streaming production

● Operating with multiple cameras ● Preparing equipment for weekly worship services

● Setting up pre-programmed shots within the video streaming software

● Managing titles and texts to appear on screen

● Working with the Minister of Music and Outreach to maintain A/V and production software and hardware to ensure they are in working order

● Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:

● Ability to effectively collaborate, communicate, problem-solve

● Willingness to learn the current system at UBC (vMix: Live Video Streaming Software; multiple PTZ cameras)

● Ability to learn and become proficient using new technology quickly and thoroughly and make appropriate upgrade recommendations when needed

● Experience with livestreaming is a plus Physical Requirements:

● Able to climb stairs

● Able to multitask

● Able to communicate clear instructions to volunteers and leadership
