Job Details:

Purpose

To assist the Senior Financial Analyst with purchasing, accounting, and other business services; and to provide administrative support to the faculty, staff, and students in the Department of Radio-Television-Film.


Responsibilities

  • Creates and monitors purchasing and payment documents. Maintains and responds to RTF-Accounting group email inquiries. Approves UT market orders. Processes Official Occasion reimbursements/payments (VPEs). Manages and reconciles Procards.

  • Manages travel for faculty, visitors, and students. Solicits and submits PIFs, creates RTAs and processes travel reimbursements. Manages Faculty Travel Grant applications. Secures airfare, lodging and/or rental car direct-billing for visitors and ensures travel rules are followed. Processes honoraria. Maintains checklists and databases and tracks speaker series.

  • Manages student insurance coverage and space requests for production student film projects

  • Provides financial and HR support for camps, workshops, conferences and other special projects. Provides back up coverage to Office Manager and Senior Financial Analyst.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 1 years of experience. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially with Excel. Ability to multi-task and effectively manage projects with attention to detail and extreme accuracy. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and professional demeanor. Demonstrated ability to learn tasks quickly with minimal training and supervision.


Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience with accounting, purchasing, contracts and payment vouchers at UT Austin. Familiarity with the UT travel policies and accounting systems. Experience using UT Box, DocuSign, and DEFINE.


Salary Range

$43,000 + depending on qualifications

Work Shift

Standard work hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm. Flexible Schedule and/or hybrid remote work may be considered. Overtime may be required during peak times. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
