Part-time Media Tech Coordinator

University Christian Church is seeking a part-time Media Tech Coordinator to assist with media production, technology, and live streaming worship services. We think this might be an ideal experience for one of your students while allowing them plenty of time to devote to their studies.

University Christian Church Media Technical Coordinator


Position: Media Technical Coordinator

Reports to: Senior Minister

FLSA status: Part-time, non-exempt

Hours: Sundays, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. plus preparation time flexible (up to 10 hours/week)


The Media Technical Coordinator for University Christian Church supports the multi-media and information technology (IT) needs of UCC ministries. The Media Technical Coordinator provides management and coordination of the A/V system and live streaming events.


Essential Functions:

● Operate media and technical equipment primarily during worship services

● Train and work with volunteers to assure coverage for all worship services and special events

● Offer expertise regarding equipment repair, upgrades, and maintenance; work with Operations Ministry to arrange outsourcing when appropriate

● Maintain and update applicable hardware and software to meet user needs and current technology

● Create and maintain documentation of live streaming processes

● Research, recommend, and propose new equipment and approaches to support future needs


Education & Experience

● 2-5 years’ experience in technical production or related experience

● Experience and understanding of audio, video, and lighting systems

● Strong audio mixing skills. Experience with Yamaha TF soundboards preferred.

● Experience with live streaming software, especially VMix streaming to YouTube

● Experience working with teams in a professional environment

● Experience working with a nonprofit organization preferred but not required


Physical & Mental Demands

● Frequently requires problem solving, analyzing and interpreting data, ability to get back on track after interruptions, and extended focus

● Regularly operate a personal computer

● Ability to lift, bend, carry packages and light equipment
