Proximity Media (Judas and the Black Messiah, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Creed 3) seeks motivated, ambitious interns who are interested in becoming producers, writer-producers, and/or executives. This position is ideal for someone who wants to learn more about producing, writing, and the filmmaking process as a whole. Proximity treats interns as part of our team.
Duties will include script and book coverage, note taking, research, watching films, discussing projects with Proximity execs and assistants, organizing files, and other miscellaneous tasks.
The internship will also have an educational component, with masterclasses for interns featuring current Proximity employees and special guests. Throughout the Fall, interns will prepare a pitch for a feature film to deliver to the Proximity team at the end of the semester. Interest in producing is strongly recommended.
Interest in writing is recommended. Applicants must enjoy reading and analyzing projects. This position is limited to current students in their second-to-last or final year of school.
The internship will begin in late August to early September depending on intern availability, and end in early December. In accordance with state guidelines and safety protocols, all work will be remote.
The position is paid. Ideal candidates will be available 9am-6pm PT three days per week. Alternatively, one full day 9am-6pm PT + four half days (9am-1pm and/or 2pm-6pm PT) is acceptable.
