FEATURE DOCUMENTARY RESEARCH AND PRODUCTION INTERN (Unpaid) - Spring Semester


Amplify Asians, a production company based in Austin is looking for an intern to assist in a feature documentary about the Chinese-Mexican community of Texas. Do you want to develop your research skills? Would you like to help in the development process of a documentary film? Are you passionate about immigration issues and advocacy? Look no further!


The documentary is led by award winning producer Andrew Lee and is about Mexican Chinese migration to the United States from Mexico in the late 19th century to the 20th century and on (particularly during the Mexican Revolution), particularly about the Pershing Chinese and other heroic figures that helped Chinese migrants find refuge during the US Chinese Exclusion Act.


WHEN: Spring Semester / 10 hours per week.


If you are interested in documentary filmmaking, have an interest in history or historical works, or ethnic studies, this internship may be a good fit for you. NOTE: More information about the documentary is available upon request.
